-They say it happens often in life you reach a crossroad and you get to choose: right or left?   My first night I chose to go left from the Hotel door,  and ended in the dark side of Tumbes. This sunny morning I chose right and ended up at what looks like the downtown of Tumbes.  A sunny day can change the landscape and our viewpoint.  I had forgotten what a warm sunny day feels like. The last one was probably in the amazonia area of Colombia. It is wonderful and even the shabbiest place can look glorious in the sunlight. The inscription to The Kiss Statue says that Tumbes is the city of love and eternal spring.

 Tomorrow Tuesday I was planned to go to an all day tour to the Parque National  Cerros De Amotape, a national park about an hour south-west of Tumbes. However I have bee en advised that some fishermen along the route are staging a demonstration  and have blocked the vehicle we are supposed to use. Will not know till morning if the visit the park is on.
