How do I download all of my journal entries?

Download your journal entries with LiveJournal’s Export Journal page, certain downloadable clients, or your web browser.

Export Journal

You can use the Export Journal
page to download one month of your journal at a time without comments.
The checkboxes on this page select which parts of your entries you
would like to export. You should make sure that you leave the Event checkbox checked, as this is the option for the main text of your entries.

Your
entries are saved in either CSV (comma separated values) or XML
(extensible markup language) format; these formats are useful for
archiving your entries, not designed for easy reading by people.

  • CSV: After saving a CSV file with your web browser, you can use a third-party spreadsheet or database program to read it.
  • XML: You can either find a third-party program to read the XML file or you can edit it so your web browser can read it.

Real Property and Title Searches in Italy

Official land and property offices in Italy today have digitized
much of the data pertaining to present day title holders with
computerized records going back many years. More recently the criteria
for researching specific title may also include a historical approach
which indicates many of the previous owners of a specific property
along with their birth dates, birth places and useful genealogical
references.

Performing a title search today is relatively quick and convenient and does not require one to go to Italy.

Notary Public
Authentication Information
Apostille or Certification

The California Secretary
of State provides authentication of public official signatures on
documents to be used outside the United States of America. The country
of destination determines whether the authentication is an Apostille or
Certification.

Apostilles and certifications only certify to the authenticity of the signature of the
official who signed the document, the capacity in which that official
acted, and when appropriate, the identity of the seal or stamp which
the document bears. The apostille or certification does not validate
the contents of the document.

How to move a WordPress blog to a new URL or domain

If you change your site’s domain or move your blog so it uses a different
URL, you’ll need to use phpMyAdmin to change two fields directly in the
database. These two fields are in the options table: siteurl and home. You’ll have all kinds of trouble if you try to access your blog without changing these fields.

  1. Log in to your host’s control panel for your site and go to the MySql database admin page.
  2. Open phpMyAdmin.
  3. Select the correct database from the drop-down list in the column on the left, then select the options table.

Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution

Darwin’s Black Box: The Biochemical Challenge to Evolution (1996, first edition; 2006, second edition) is a book written by Michael J. Behe and published by Free Press in which he introduces his notion of irreducible complexity and claims that its presence in many biochemical systems indicates therefore that they must be the result of intelligent design rather than evolutionary processes.
