Re: [immlog] Re: Benefits compared: H-1B-1 or O-1

Hi..
Thanks for the clarification..Now another question..Is this for now or
the immediate short term? H-1bs are used up for the FY..They will
become available again Oct. 1, 2009. If he is on OPT until next go
around, the O might still be preferable, or even his only option in
the end, because of the cap, aka the H-1B lottery.

So, a key issue in your decision-making process will depend on his
current status and how long he will be able to stay in it (i.e. until
next October). If he needs this for now and he is not already in H-1b
status, then the O is his only option of the two, regardless of any
other pros/cons…

Publishing with OOo Writer and DokuWiki

OpenOffice.org Writer offers a wide range of sophisticated tools for
creating complex documents such as manuals and technical documentation.
However, when it comes to publishing the finished results online, your
options are rather limited. You can, of course, use OOo Web to convert
existing files into HTML, but you might want a more powerful and
flexible tool to maintain the published documents online — a wiki, for
example, and specifically DokuWiki, which is designed for
documentation.

Changes in Wordpress 2.6

Google Reader (15)

There has never been a reason not to use the admin interface but
that said with the versatility and flexibility of WordPress many people
have taken advantage and built softwares that resist you from doing so.

To be quite frank, I hardly use the Admin interface except for
approving and replying to comments and managing plugins and themes, but
in doing that, I am definitely missing so many of the features that
WordPress posting interface provides me with.

WordPress 2.6 makes use of Google Gears when available to speedup
and cache static files that are loaded every time you visit your
WordPress admin panel.
